FUSION ART AT TEAPOO
It’s not only about ware but also about traditional Chinese aesthetics combined with modern art— the recognition of handmade works of art.
TIMELESS CRAFTSMANSHIP
In the profound Yixing teapot art, each carefully crafted pot is the artist’s handwriting, expressing their unique understanding and adherence to traditional craftsmanship and spirit.
In addition to displaying their skills through their works at Teapoo, these ingenious artists also obtain official recognition of their professional skills and artistic achievements through an authoritative national profession system, which requires rigorous assessments every five years and selections at every level. This means that for an artist to pass the test from the most basic level to the highest level, theoretically it takes at least 20 years of hard work and accumulation.
HISTORICAL CULTURE
Yixing teapots originated in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) and peaked in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The development of Yixing teapots has undergone thousands of years of evolution and has been listed in the Chinese National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Wood firing is not only about burning firewood, but also about the dialogue between people and kilns and the exquisite works that are naturally combined in the most primitive way. The charm of wood firing lies in its high randomness. It exudes a simple, thick, and ancient vibe. Perhaps it is precisely this randomness that allows us to see the natural beauty of wood-burning, which is also its embodiment in the Chinese aesthetic spirit.
INNOVATIVE PAINTING
This innovative painted art technique on teapots introduces a completely new approach, setting it apart from traditional clay painting and general color applications. The colors are vibrant and striking, capturing the true essence and depth of each hue for maximum visual impact. This technique also adds a rich texture and weight, ensuring the colors remain vivid and resistant to fading over time, making the teapot a durable and lasting work of art. Every brush of color embodies our Teapoo artists’ unwavering pursuit of beauty.
